Encounters

Everything in life happens for a reason. There are no coincidences, random acts, and there is no such thing as luck. The quote “That there are no random acts. That we all are connected. That you no more separate one life from another than you separate a breeze from the wind” admiringly compares how we cannot separate one life from another to how we cannot separate a breeze from the wind. When we encounter people, it happens for a reason. This quote opened my eyes to how we are all really connected and we all impact each other in some way as a small breeze can impact the intensity of the wind. For example, in the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven, the main character, Eddie, encounters five people when he dies. He met people he had already known, people he did not know, and even people he had relationships with. Eddie had not realized it on Earth when he was living, but they had each contributed to impacting his life in some way. They had each caused him pain, heartbreak, joy, anger, and many other emotions that molded him into the person he turned out to be. By doing this, they changed his personality, emotions, and actions when Eddie was living. After all Eddie went through- challenges, deaths, hurt- it was all for the better.Again, there are no random acts, coincidences, and there is no such thing as luck. Many people have also changed your life and many more will in the future.
